EXCHANGE STUDENTS PROGRAM
What are they about?
Students from different countries who have a common interest in education share their home and classroom for a week. The goal of the programme is to get an overview of the educational reality of the host country.
How long is the programme for?
It lasts 2 weeks (one week in the host country and another one in the own country - The International Week -). These programmes will be developed during a week in February, March or April. The International Week at La Salle is celebrated along the 10th week of the year.
Where does the programme take place?
The involved Universities and the number of participants change depending on the year. As a reference, last year students from Valencia (E.U. Edetania), Barcelona (Facultat de Blanquerna), Holland (Hogeschool Haarlem) , Belgium (Isell Sainte Croix and Artevelde Hogeschool Gent), Portugal (Escola superior de Educaçao de Santarem) and Sweden (Linkoping University) had the option of coming to La Salle.
Which are the requirements?
Being a student at the University College during the present academic year.
Being a citizen of any of the countries which participate in the programme.
Having enough knowledge of the language in which the courses are given at the host University.
Which are the followed criteria to assign the grants?
The student's academic record.
The motivation and knowledge of the language.
The concession of the exchange will be provisional; it will be definitive when the host University accept the student.
Is it recognized with a certificate?
Normally, the student gets a certificate from the host University.
How is the programme financed?
The students finance the programme in a reciprocal way, the accommodation and meals are financed by the participating students.
The student must pay the transport.
